Bayon Temple inside Angkor Thom
Hindu temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. This temple is a little bit different from most temples in the Angkor Wat area because it is made of brick, laterite and sandstone.
The South Gate bridge leading to the ancient city of Angkor Thom is lined with guards - on one side, with scowling faces of evil and on the other side, of with serene faces of good gods. This is the evil side of the bridge.
